Comments in Sunday School

Last week the teacher introduced the course of study for 2009, the Doctrine and Covenants and Church History.

One sister said, "When I first joined the Church [15 years ago] we didn't have the Doctrine and Covenants in Russian, so when it came out I just read and read.  There was so much information."

Another person said, "We are rich to have this."

(We got the comments through translators, of course.)

Wow, that makes me appreciate how "rich" I am. And we all really are. I'll remember those comments as I study the D&C this year.

Beautiful pictures, Donna. Love it.

We had a discussion yesterday in our class, talking about an article in the Deseret New discussing other "Millennial Religions". We talked about how they are missing out on at least one important thing... modern revelation. We truly are blessed.

What a great reminder of how blessed I am.

I hope this isn't too wierd. My family lived in Somalia with the McEvoys and they were just such a wonderful example to me as a young girl. I have really enjoyed "peeking" into your family again. You guys are still such an amazing family. Truly a family to aspire to be like.
