My mouth is watering! I wish you could mail me some of that! Oh, that black bread and smetana looks so good, too! I can smell it! Have a bowl for me, too!
We made Borscht before Mack left for Ukraine. We both liked it. The sour cream and fresh dill on the top complete the taste experience. He now writes and tells me that we made it the hard way. (And the expensive way, I'm assuming) I can't wait to find out how the Ukrainians make it.
We are Elder and Sister McEvoy, missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission. We're posting for our children, grandchildren and friends to share our testimonies of Jesus Christ and his Restored Gospel, and to share our mission experiences. We love being in Russia and we love the wonderful Russian people.

Such a pretty picture. I want to try this before it gets too warm for soup.
Love to get your comments! Some recipes for this beet soup classic are on the link in the post. Click on "borsch." Russians always say "beet root."
