These compact garages are on the borders of the high rises. We're surprised at the cars. Porsche SUV's, Mercedes, etc., along with Russian makes. Cars appear in good repair, although it's hard to wash them. Owners use a bucket of water. Yesterday Elder M. saw the first garden hose--a rarity here.
The Mission President is the only foreigner in the mission who has a driver's license. In addition, the mission has a hired Russian driver who helps out, but mostly we rely on public transportation (more on that later). PT is plentiful, but as you know in big cities, it still requires plenty of walking and waiting at bus stops.
